Affordable Cosmetic Dental Care in Huntsville

As a noninvasive solution to dental imperfections, cosmetic filling is a great option for many people. We go through a thorough examination process to help you determine if it is the right choice.

Made from a composite resin, cosmetic fillings can be custom matched to the shade of your teeth. This creates a natural and flawless looking appearance for your smile.

Common problems that cosmetic fillings can fix are:

Minor Chips or breaks in teeth

Unwanted tooth gaps

Yellowed or discolored teeth

Exposed roots

Short or irregular shaped teeth

Decaying teeth

The array of imperfections that cosmetic filling can fix is vast, leaving you with teeth that look good as new!

Have the smile of your dreams in no time!

Because cosmetic filling does not require surgery or the need to grind down your teeth, it is a fairly quick and easy procedure.

Oftentimes all it takes is a single visit at Dental Professionals on Whitesburg to treat your teeth and your smile is beautifully transformed!

While, in most cases, anesthesia is not required, if there are other dental issues that need attending, such as a filling, anesthesia will be used. However, this is not typical for cosmetic filling treatments.

How Does it Work?

Ensure to have your teeth clean and flossed before you arrive.

Once in the chair, we will find the perfect shade that matches your teeth so your smile is seamless. Please note that if you desire teeth whitening, your teeth will have to be whitened before your cosmetic filling procedure. While your enamel will lighten, the composite resin will not.

We understand too that the experience can be a little scary for some kids. Because of this, we make it important for your child to be comfortable by providing warm blankets, soft pillows and gentle care. In fact, we offer this for all ages as Dental Anxiety is common amongst kids to senior adults.

Once we have the perfect shade for your teeth, we will start by creating a rough surface so that the bond will actually be able to stick.

Then we will apply the resin and mold it to the desired shape. Do not worry if you don’t think the shape is right the first go around, we can mold it after the procedure is finished too!

After molding, we will place a UV light on the resin to harden it. This only takes a couple of seconds.

We will then shape and smooth the resin one last time so that it is comfortable in your mouth.

Does Cosmetic filling Last?

Cosmetic filling can last up to ten years if taken care of properly!

Continuing to practice proper oral hygiene promotes the longevity of every treatment.

Because the resin is not as strong as your own teeth, it is important to avoid

  • Nail Biting
  • Pen or any random object chewing
  • Eating Ice

These things can chip or break the resin easily, and therefore it is advisable to avoid them if you want your cosmetic filling treatment to last as long as possible.

Since resin can stain, and can not be lightened like teeth enamel can, attempt to stay away from things that easily stain. For beverages that easily stain, attempt to use straws when drinking. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Coffee
  • Wine
  • Tea

Cosmetic filling can be a long term solution to a lifetime desire. If there are any chips, breaks or cracks in your cosmetic filling, our dentists will repair them.
